Body date: 4-57. Neck date: 5-57. It was refinished (due to scratches on the body) around 1980 to a solid walnut color. The grain is simply beautiful. It can easily be restored to the two-tone sunburst. This Stratocaster was played from 1957 through 1964 in various bands. This sale also includes the original case, Fender 1956 - 1957 Catalog and original strap. I got this guitar for Christmas of 1957 at age 11. It was purchased new from Robbins Music in Huntsville, AL. Everything is original (except the strap buttons which were replaced with original type buttons). If you have a friend who is looking for a '57 Stratocaster, let him know about this one.
